Join us for a weekend of community-building, cross-cultural connection, and meaningful personal and professional skill development.Â
The inaugural Ignite & Activate San Diego summit will provide a platform for individuals committed to expanding their worlds to more effectively drive change and impact their local and global communities.
Â
We’ve carefully crafted an impressive lineup of presenters who will arm you with strategies to more effectively navigate cultural differences, insights about cross-border entrepreneurship and career paths that can take you anywhere in the world, and the local resources to kickstart your journey.
This 2.5 day summit features a mixed format including:
 - Short talks, panels, and in-depth Q&A with leaders from across the public, private, and social sectors
 - Facilitated conversations about entrepreneurship, career and personal network-building strategies
 - Hands-on skill-building utilizing design charrette principles to address a community challenge
 - An immersive experience of San Diego through cultural and social activities
You will leave this experience with new skills and ideas to accelerate your career pursuits, an expanded network of local and international contacts and resources, and the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to an internationally-focused community organization.
We've organized the weekend with your busy schedule in mind. The core of the Summit will take place on Friday and Saturday, April 26-27.We'll also be organizing several opportunities for networking and socializing beginning Thursday evening, April 25 which are optional to attend.Â
The schedule is subject to change.
The launch of Ignite & Activate has been a huge team effort between Cultural Vistas and some of its favorite San Diego area organizations. From meals to meeting space, A/V equipment, speaker and panelists coordination, and sharing ideas–this two-and-a-half day summit would not be possible without their support.
The challenges and opportunities of the modern world demand a global perspective. This summit seeks to provide a forum for individuals and organizations who are motivated by a desire to engage with the rest of the world in a meaningful, mutually beneficial way to connect and learn from one another and strengthen global engagement at the local level.Â
The experience is perfect for alumni of and participants in international study and exchange programs, individuals interested in opening global pathways of others, or for anyone looking to grow their networks and strengthen their leadership and community-building skills. We expect there will be a mix of young, mid-career, and experienced professionals of all backgrounds.
We provide skills and experiences to help people navigate the changing world and workplace. We began with a desire to reignite the passions of our alumni towards not just bettering themselves or Cultural Vistas, but opening global pathways for others. We believe the benefits of this multi-day effort extend far beyond those who have taken part in our programs.
We are dedicated to ensuring this is an accessible event. As a result, we are offering a limited number of partial and full scholarship opportunities to cover registration fees. Please fill out this form as soon as possible for more information.
